(And this prompt brought me out of hiding because I saw a picture of crayons. Oh, how I love colors! :))

Without thinking, my initial answer would be green, of course (my favorite color). I love how it's right at the middle of the ROYGBV spectrum, relaxing the eye when it's tired. Also, because it is synonymous with nature and life, I love how the color basically connotes freshness and vibrance. By default, it seems like my eye is always drawn to anything of this hue.

Not exactly the reasons I would use to describe myself, though. 

So thinking back to when I played with crayons as a kid, and crayolas came in 264 colors in double-decked paper cartons, and I kept floral-shaped sharpenings in a rusty metal pencil case (as was the custom of gradeschoolers from an all-girls Catholic school in Manila), I am beset with shades and hues of a million names. 

And if life were a box of crayons, how in the world would you be remembered? How would you stand out? 

I suppose then that my embodiment in a crayon color would be... periwinkle. ;) It's name is catchy (and sticks with you until adulthood, as it has with me!), as is my real name -- if you learn how to say it, you won't forget it! It's also a lovely but safe shade of purple/pink -- and those blend of ambiguities just perfectly describe my personality. It is not screaming for attention, but is striking enough to be memorable.

And I deliberately ignored the second question, just because I'm not in love right now and I have no ready answer for that. But maybe red, since it's the color of fire and passion? And it's the complementary color of green, my first answer -- the way a partner should be. 

*sigh* Been an Iron Man fangirl the past week since I saw the movie. All because of instrumentalbit ! ;) But I'm not mad at all, no no no. In fact, I have her to thank. :D I've always been a Marvel fangirl, but admittedly I never paid attention to Iron Man, because, well, he was... old. Haha. Just wasn't interested when I was younger, and as we all know, our youth experiences dictate our life choices when we get older. :P So I deliberately didn't see the first movie, though I like Gwyneth Paltrow a lot. And I went to see the sequel last week only to pass the time (I was going to meet some high school friends for dinner, but I got off work early and had time to kill). I was actually planning on sleeping through the film; I was up all night finishing a paper for graduate school and I needed to crash -- badly -- but I didn't want to go home.

What I didn't plan on was falling completely in love with Anthony E. Stark. And with Robert Downey Jr. playing that role. And with the entire Iron Man as mythology. And with the political relevance of the film. And with RDJ and Gwyneth Paltrow's online chemistry (which actually only work when they're in their characters; by themselves, as actors, I don't see the electricity at all).

So I devoured fics, joined fanlistings, hopped on from shrine to shrine in hopes of satiating my Pepperony cravings (isn't that the cutest couple name for them? I was all "Awwww" when I learned the name thanks to tonypepper). I also bought the first movie on DVD. I can't wait to watch it tomorrow as my little reward for staying up all night -- AGAIN -- tonight, since I have major requirements to pass tomorrow, not to mention a report to deliver. (I think I better get to work, then!)

My poor, unused LJ, haha. I really should update more often -- I have done lots of avatars and graphics since the last time I posted -- but since relaunching my blog at my domain, BEATIFIQUE.ORG, all my attention is on WordPress. *sheepish grin*

So since it's summer break and all, expect some graphic content from me soon. For now, it's just a gorgeous new LJ Layout in use by neskayanet :D
